M1 - HCEAI / EXAMS DATES - FIRST SEMESTER 2014-2015

1/ October 21: First Short Test (15% of your Continuous Assessment Grade  / around 15-20 minutes MAXIMUM) at Serpente (Room D 040):

VOCABULARY in translation:

   - from Phrasal verbs handouts (ex: translate "companies" = des entreprises)
   - phrasal verbs in translation (3 pages) (ex: translate "élever des enfants" = to bring up children)
   - "The Illusion of Control"
   - "Not in My Name" (vocabulary up to "in the back of people's minds") 

2/ November 04: First Main Exam (30% of your Continuous Assessment grade  / around 75-80 minutes MAXIMUM): in AMPHI Edgar QUINET (Sorbonne): this exam will cover everything done up to October 21 included (vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension - you will listen only twice one of the three audio reports we have worked on so far)


3/ December 09: Second Main Exam (40% of your Continuous Assessment grade  / around 75-80 minutes MAXIMUM): in AMPHI Edgar QUINET (Sorbonne): this exam will cover everything done during the semester (vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension (you will listen only twice one of the audio reports we will have worked on up to the previous session included), summary of one of the articles I will provide you with at the beginning of the exam - see folder "Articles" )


THIS SECOND MAIN EXAM ON DECEMBER 09 IS ALSO THE "FINAL EXAM" for students who are in this case.

4/ December 16: Second Short Test (15% of your Continuous Assessment grade  / around 15-20 minutes MAXIMUM) at AMPHI Edgar QUINET (Sorbonne)

  - VOCABULARY in translation of everything done during the semester + all the phrasal verbs

  - OPTIONAL WORK: Write a summary of one of the articles I will provide you with at the beginning of the exam (you will get bonus points up to 2 points on your previous exam).
