Class Cancelled April 12 / Next class: April 19

Dear students, 

I wish I had been able to inform you much in advance: the class today (April 12) is cancelled as I am not feeling well.

Everything scheduled for today is postponed for next week (April 19): the homework and the short vocab test.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

M1 class: First Main Exam: April 05

The 1st Main Exam on April 05 will last around 80 minutes maximum and will cover:
- Vocabulary:
- History of advertising 
- Learning Methods 
- Tony Blair and Slavery 
- TED: 50 Shades of Gay (Io Tillett Wright)
- Grammar in translation (from French into English):
- Units 42 to 46 included
- Unit 105
- Reading comprehension: there will be an unknown text with questions.
- Listening Comprehension: you will hear extracts only twice from "Tony Blair and Slavery " and "TED: 50 Shades of Gay  by Io Tillett Wright" and you will have to write a short commentary on these extracts
 Reminders:
1/ First Short vocab test: April 12: same program of revisions
2/ Attendance rules: 
Attendance is compulsory for those students who are in "contrôle continu": if you are absent 3 times (ie 2+1) for unjustified reasons, if you cannot provide me with a valid and sincere justification, you will be automatically registered in "contrôle final".
3/ If students in "contrôle continu" fail to take this 1st main exam, they will be automatically registered in "contrôle final". They will be allowed to take the other exams and attend our class sessions on Friday afternoon.
 4/ There will be no catch-up session whatsoever, even if you have a valid and sincere justification.
5/ Please, do arrive on time if not in advance!
