May 25: Second Short Vocab Test


Program of revisions for this short vocab test (around 20 minutes): 
  • Vocabulary:

      • Tony Blair and Slavery (BBC world Service)
      • The Brain Drain from Africa
      • Inside Job (NPR interview + Alternet interview only): we did not have the time to cover the other 2 articles from The New York Times
    • three texts: Taseer / Said / Sen 
    • BONUS POINTS: 1st semester vocab lists (chapters 50, 51 and 52)
Reminders: 
  • students in "contrôle final" can also take this test
  • make sure you arrive on time or in advance as there will be no catch-up session whatsoever even if you have a valid reason.

"EXAMEN FINAL" / SECOND MAIN EXAM: MAY 18

The exam will last the whole class session ie around 80-90 minutes maximum.

The exam will cover:
  • Grammar: 
    • units 34 and 39 ("should") 
    • units 137-142 ("phrasal verbs")
  • Vocabulary:
